Congressman Chris Deluzio is a Thornburg native and Iraq War veteran in his second term representing the 17th district of Pennsylvania in the U.S. House of Representatives. In Congress, Chris is committed to fighting for our Western Pennsylvania priorities and standing up for our Constitution. Chris is all in to ensure strong labor unions, create good-paying jobs, make stuff here at home, take on corruption, protect reproductive freedom, stand up for our veterans, and lower costs. Chris believes that if you work hard and play by the rules, you deserve a real shot at the American Dream. Prior to his election in 2022, Chris worked as an attorney and protected voting rights and fair elections as the policy director at Pitt Cyber, and previously at the Brennan Center for Justice. He also fought alongside fellow faculty members and the United Steelworkers as a member of the Pitt Faculty Organizing Committee to secure a faculty union at Pitt—the biggest union election in the country in 2021. Chris lives with his wife, Zoë, four young children, and their dog, Yankee Doodle, in PA-17.

Senator Williams represents District 38 in Allegheny County, which includes parts of the City of Pittsburgh and most of Northern Allegheny County. She serves as the Minority Chair of the Senate Education Committee and as a Board Member of Pittsburgh Regional Transit (PRT), the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA), and the State Board of Education. Lindsey earned her undergraduate degree from Dickinson College in Carlisle. Lindsey then attended Duquesne University School of Law, where she focused on protecting workers’ rights, following the example of her dad, who supported their family as an Operating Engineer in his local union. After law school, Lindsey joined the National Whistleblower Center, where she worked to expose corruption and advocate for whistleblower protections. When she and several coworkers attempted to unionize, they were illegally fired. Lindsey refused to be silenced and took her case to the National Labor Relations Board. Lindsey continued her work on behalf of working people at the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, helping members organize strikes and labor actions across the country. She then returned to Pittsburgh to work for the Pittsburgh Federation of Teachers. In 2018, with the support of workers, educators, parents, and community members across the district, Lindsey won her race for State Senate by just 793 votes. She’s taken that responsibility seriously every day since by fighting for working families, honest government, and policies that better people’s lives. In her spare time, Lindsey enjoys being with friends, family, and her adorable dog, Willow.

Representative Mandy Steele proudly serves House District 33 in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, representing communities throughout the Allegheny Valley, from Sharpsburg Borough to Harrison Township. First elected in 2022, she has prioritized policies that support working families, strengthen public education, protect workers’ rights, support first responders, and safeguard our environment. Growing up in the district, Mandy learned early the value of hard work, public service, and community. She developed a deep commitment to giving back and ensuring that government works for the people it serves. That commitment continues to guide her work as a legislator. In the House, Representative Steele has been a consistent advocate for organized labor, environmental protection, women’s rights, and a fair economy that works for everyone. MARTELL COVINGTON
Born and raised in Pittsburgh’s Homewood neighborhood, Martell Covington is a dedicated public servant with deep-rooted ties to the communities he represents. A graduate of Howard University and Central Catholic High School, Martell has spent his career championing the needs of Allegheny County through legislative action and community organizing. Martell currently serves as a State Committee Person At-Large for Allegheny County and a member of the 12th Ward Democratic Committee. His commitment to the region is further reflected in continued efforts surrounding political education/engagement and his reappointment to the Governor’s Commission on African American Affairs where he co-chairs the public safety subcommittee. In April 2022, Martell was elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 24th Legislative District. During his tenure, he secured millions in state funding for local projects and advocated for education equity and environmental justice. Prior to his election, he served as a legislative aide to Senate Democratic Leader Jay Costa, where he was instrumental in regional developments such as the Oakland Business Improvement District’s Strategic Plan and the Oakland Plan. A lifelong advocate for youth, Martell spent over a decade with the Community Empowerment Association (CEA), where he now serves as Board Chair. His leadership extends to his past role as Vice President of the Young Democrats of Allegheny County and years of coaching for Homewood Community Sports. Martell lives in the 38th Senatorial district with his wife and daughter, remaining steadfast in his mission to build an equitable future for all.
Ben Forstate is a lifelong Pittsburgher and current resident of Highland Park. He is running for his second term on State Committee because he cares deeply about electing Democrats up and down the ballot and making sure the state party stays strong, responsive, and connected to the concerns of voters and local party members across the Commonwealth. In the most consequential swing state in the country, Ben believes Democrats have to organize everywhere, support candidates at every level, and build a party that is ready to win.
Over the past eight years, Ben has worked on Democratic campaigns across Allegheny County and Pennsylvania, serving as Campaign Manager for Mayor Corey O’Connor, Congressman Chris Deluzio, State Representative Arvind Venkat, and the North Allegheny school board slate. He also served as Coordinated Campaign Director for the Allegheny County Democratic Committee. Currently, Ben serves as Special Projects Manager in Mayor O’Connor’s administration, helping lead the City's efforts to modernize Pittsburgh’s permitting process.
Ben brings an organizer’s and campaign manager’s perspective to the State Committee, focused on building the infrastructure Democrats need to compete and win statewide. He believes the party is strongest when it invests in local organizing, supports candidates at every level, and stays connected to voters year-round. Lauren Hergert, a resident of Ross Township, has dedicated her life to serving the people of Allegheny County. In 2024, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership from Duquesne University. With over a decade of experience working in Allegheny County Government, Lauren currently serves as the Community and Outreach Coordinator for the Allegheny County Treasurer’s Office. Beyond her professional role, Lauren actively engages in community service. She is a committee member of the Ross Township Democratic Committee and the Chair of the North Hills Progressives. In 2024, Lauren made history as the youngest and first openly LGBTQ+ woman in Pennsylvania to be elected to the Democratic National Committee. Lauren is a passionate human rights advocate, dedicated to helping others and making a meaningful impact in our community. She excels at mobilizing people from all walks of life to come together for a common cause. Through strategic outreach and grassroots organizing, Lauren mobilizes Democratic voters and builds coalitions that amplify the voices of those who believe in a better future. She also recognizes the urgency of strengthening the Democratic Party at a critical time when Democratic institutions and human rights face unprecedented threats.
Clayton is a resident of the City of Pittsburgh who embraces the vibrancy and life that each town within the city embodies. He is a firm believer in the importance of community at every level, with compassion and support helping us all to be stronger. As a registered nurse, he has worked to help educate the new generation of healthcare workers and care for the sickest members of our community. He is passionate about healthcare and labor issues as well as concerned about our state's infrastructure and how it affects our people. He enjoys a chance to take in the beauty of the state whenever he can take time to take a hike in our parks or kayak down the Allegheny!
Jennifer Buchanan Rapach lives in McCandless and is currently the Chief of Staff to State Representative Arvind Venkat. Jennifer has been active in politics since 2004, and made it her profession in 2007, following her first career as a music teacher. In the past 19 years, Jennifer has been a member of the McCandless Democratic Committee, helping to found the committee’s scholarship program for North Allegheny students and working to elect Democrats up and down the ballot. She was also a member of the Democratic State Committee for three terms and hopes to win your vote again. Jennifer has worked for elected officials, state government, the Service Employees International Union, and as political staff on several campaigns. Through all her experiences, she understands the importance of grassroots organizing and getting regular people involved in politics, especially now at such an important time in our nation’s history. As a member of the Democratic State Committee, Jennifer would advocate for progressive policies and for more resources for grassroots organizations that do the work of speaking with everyday citizens and turning them into active voters.

Growing up in the Mon Valley in western Pennsylvania – a historic industrial center just south of the City of Pittsburgh – Lieutenant Governor Austin Davis saw the struggles of working families firsthand. He watched his mom – a hairdresser in McKeesport for more than 40 years – juggle raising a family with putting food on the table. He watched his dad work hard every day as a union bus driver. Since taking office, Lieutenant Governor Davis has led the efforts to drive out $85 million in Violence Intervention and Prevention (VIP) grants to over 130 projects statewide, $5 million increase in funding to secure places of worship and community centers, and $60 million in new funding for county 911 services. He also championed efforts to provide $11.5 million to launch the Building Opportunity through Out of School Time (BOOST) program, supporting 46 programs in its first year to give young people in Pennsylvania a safe environment during after-school hours. This is the first ever state program that directed state dollars directly into after school programs in Pennsylvania history. He currently resides in the Mon Valley region of western Pennsylvania with his wife, Blayre Holmes Davis, and their daughter, Harper.
